All successful freelance writers know how vital email list building is. Building your email list should be your top priority if you have an online business or are trying to sell anything online (such as a new book, eBook, or even your freelance writing services).

The bottom line is that you need a list to have business. You can only have a successful online business (whatever it may be) with an email list-building strategy.

As soon as you start freelance writing or starting your own business, you will hear, “The money is on the list.” So, what is your email list?

Your email list is the collection of potential and actual customers who have voluntarily given you their email addresses and their permission to send them emails about the products and services you have to offer.

If you send emails without permission, it becomes spam. And if you get a reputation online for being a spammer, your freelance writing business won’t last long.
